Dear friend,
On Mother's Day in 2020, I wrote a letter to my mom that changed the course of our relationship forever.
This was a letter more than a decade in the making. I needed to own up to all the ways I had taken my mom's love for granted and take full responsibility for all the ways I had pushed her away growing up.
1. 🍛 Dear Mom: I will never yell at you again for giving me too much food
I used to lash out at my mom all the time about the smallest of things. I was immature and didn't know how to process all the pains and frustrations of life, so I took it out on the one person who loved me more than anyone else in the world.
She didn't deserve any of it, and I knew that I'd carry that guilt with me for the rest of my life if I didn't address it.
Here is the letter I wrote to her two years ago on Mother’s Day to honor her beautiful love.
