How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
Domestic orders within the United States typically arrive within 1-5 days of shipping (depending how far you are from where we ship—San Francisco, CA), with many faster options available at checkout.
Orders outside the US usually arrive within 1-3 weeks.
Order by 4PM PT Mon-Fri & 3PM Sat for same-day shipping. 📦
Every order is hand-packed by my Mom & Dad then delivered to the post office with the utmost love and care. 🫶
Is shipping free?
Shipping is free for any orders with more than 1 product (2+) both within the United States 🇺🇸 and Canada 🇨🇦!

How much does shipping cost?
We get the lowest rates possible from our wonderful shipping partner. If you're only buying one product, rates start as low as $3.99.
International shipping isn't expensive either! Our flat rate worldwide shipping rates starts as low as $9.49 🌏
Do your parents really ship every order?
Yup! I hired my mom, Mary Lam, and dad, Francis Lam, after they had to retire early due to covid and other health complications.
We went from barely ever talking for 12+ years, to working together every day.
When your order, they carefully hand-pack and deliver it to the post office usually the same day with the utmost love and care.
With each order, comes our love, prayers, and warmest wishes. ❤️
Orders
I ordered with the wrong address. Can I change it?
Let us know as soon as you can so we can try to change it before my parents mail it out!
Just send us the correct address by responding to your order confirmation email or send us a message over our website chat with your order # and corrected address.
Why does the tracking status show “Delivered” when it hasn’t been?
Unfortunately sometimes this can happen, but most of the time the package was simply placed in an unexpected area at the delivery address. We first recommend asking your recipient to check any other locations the package might be (the front door, back door, mailbox or even a neighbor's house).
Sometimes, it also takes an extra day or two because some drivers will mark all the packages in an area as delivered even if they don't get to them. Please wait an extra 24-48 hours and if it still hasn't gotten to you, we'll be more than happy to send you a replacement order!
I want to give this as a gift, how can I hide the receipt?
All orders are shipped without a receipt, so don’t worry about the other person seeing how much you paid for it!
Can I add a gift message to my order?
Yes! Just email hello @ parentsarehuman.com immediately after placing an order with your gift message. We’ll print out your message and include it in the package.

Is my transaction secure?
Absolutely. Your privacy is our utmost priority. We will never sell your information. All payments are done through secure payment processors (Shopify), so we never receive or store any of your credit card information.
How do I access my digital cards after purchasing?
After you place an order on our website, you should have received an order confirmation email in your inbox (check your spam folder!). You’ll find the link to the full digital version of your game there.

What's your return policy?

Incorrect or Damaged Products
First, we're so sorry to hear that happened! Please accept our sincere apologies. We know nobody wants to receive a broken or incorrect product.

Are the decks different when buying one deck vs multiple decks?
Nope, all the prompts/cards within each language edition are identical. We provide a discount for purchasing multiple decks because we were inspired by people who are gifting them to friends, colleagues, & extended family members. Play Parents Are Human as a weekly or monthly group activity because social accountability makes everything easier!
We’re biased but we think it’s the perfect gift, any time of the year 🙂 Feel free to mix and match language editions.

How accurate are your translations?
Instead of relying on a single translator, company, or service, we work with ~10 native speakers on average along with their loved ones to meticulously trans-create each card from English into another language.
This process takes a minimum of 6-8 months per language, with hundreds of combined hours spent to ensure that the nuances of each language are honored, that people from every relevant & major geographic location review the translations to make sure locals can understand, and every detail like the font, line breaks, and word spacing are the best possible choice.
We work with family teams so each prompt has been play-tested in a real dynamic between loved ones.
